About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of services across all production-based enterprise applications. This role ensures that releases are executed with minimal risk, meet compliance requirements, and align with enterprise architecture and PMO governance standards. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with central teams to drive service excellence, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across the application landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Release Management
- Plan and manage release windows and lifecycle in coordination with delivery leads.
- Conduct release assessments and implement enterprise-aligned release strategies.
- Maintain a comprehensive release schedule, ensuring documentation, testing sign-offs, and stakeholder communication.
- Lead release readiness reviews and ensure compliance with quality gates and regulatory standards.
- Execute fallback procedures and communicate change status to operations and service desks.
Enterprise Architecture Alignment
- Ensure all application delivery aligns with enterprise architecture principles, including scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with architecture teams to validate design decisions and enforce governance standards.
- Support lifecycle planning and technology roadmaps for enterprise applications.
PMO Governance & Best Practices
- Apply PMO best practices to manage scope, schedule, and resources across multiple initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to project lifecycle governance, including quality gates and milestone reviews.
- Track and report on KPIs such as delivery predictability, defect rates, and velocity.
- Support financial planning and benefit realization tracking in coordination with PMO and Finance teams.
Agile & SAFe Leadership
- Guide Scrum Masters on Agile practices, especially within SAFe frameworks.
- Facilitate continuous improvement across Agile teams and delivery processes.
Testing Strategy & Defect Management
- Oversee service delivery strategies across unit, integration, regression, and non-functional domains.
- Establish and manage defect triage processes for timely resolution and retesting.
- Educate teams on service delivery standards, testing methodologies, and compliance protocols.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Build and lead a high-performing team of delivery leads, Scrum Masters, and change agents.
- Collaborate with central enterprise teams to align application delivery with enterprise standards.
- Drive process improvements and innovation in release and service delivery management.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the software development lifecycle and release management.
- Proven experience in Agile/SCRUM methodologies and SAFe frameworks.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and enterprise service delivery.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards in software delivery.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Workday, MuleSoft, or similar.
- Knowledge of tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and ServiceNow.
- Background in healthcare, finance, or regulated industries.
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and PMO tools (e.g., Planview).
