The Schwarz lab is looking for motivated individuals interested in using innovative in vivo and molecular approaches to address how the organization and function of norepinephrine neural circuits in animal models contribute to behavior and disease.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
A PhD in neuroscience or related discipline
Prior experience in studying neural circuits
Expertise with at least some of the following methodologies: optogenetics, calcium imaging, viral tracing, tissue clearing, murine behavioral phenotyping, machine-learning behavioral analysis
Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. R, Python) and an ability to work with large datasets
Strong record of peer-reviewed publications
Ability to independently design and execute experiments and interpret data
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, highly collaborative environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
