Sentara Health is hiring for a Proposal Development, Manager!
Status: Full-Time, permanent position (40 hours)
Standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F.
Location: This is a remote position with the expectation to report to Sentara Park (1300 in Virginia Beach, VA) approximately once a month for in-person meetings. Occasional on-site work may also be required during active Medicaid RFP responses.
Candidates must reside within driving distance of the office, preferably within the Hampton Roads area (including Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Hampton, Virginia Beach, and Suffolk).
Overview
This is a leadership position on the RFP/Proposal Team.
This individual will be responsible for leading a team of proposal professionals in developing and delivering quality, compelling proposals including pre-submission and post-submission processes for RFPs in collaboration with Marketing and Sales team members and subject matter experts throughout the organization.
They will also oversee pipeline tracking, competitive analysis, and other facets of procurement.
This individual will focus on ensuring the team represents the organization through an advanced understanding of the company’s mission and vision, community presence, core products and services, and advancements.
They will develop and implement continuous content and process improvements and standardization, execute on strategic initiatives, lead professional development, strengthen interpersonal relationships, champion a positive work environment focused on teamwork and integrity, and uphold the internal and external reputation of the team.
They should thrive under strict deadlines and be dedicated to serving and advocating for team members.
This position is remote with occasional in-office work at the Virginia Beach headquarters for team meetings, networking, and print production as needed.
Education
BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree- REQUIRED
Certification/Licensure
No specific certification or licensure requirements
Experience
3 years min supervisory experience REQUIRED
Complex project management experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including strong presentation abilities.
Healthcare experience preferred
