JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for safely assembling equipment by following detailed instructions from Supervisors and Group Leaders. These assemblies vary in size and product while requiring the use of a variety of mechanical, electrical, and manual tools.                                                                                                   

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned:

  • Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto JLG/ Jerr Dan products utilizing power equipment and wrenching techniques.
  • Install various JLG/Jerr Dan product accessories (decals, mud flaps, cameras, lights, etc).
  • Operate an overhead crane to maneuver parts safely into place.
  • Use hand and pneumatic tools accurately such as wrenches, hammers, torque guns, etc.
  • Use common measuring tools accurately such as a tape measure.
  • Drill and/or tap holes for wires, hoses and small parts.
  • Determine options needed for units based on schematics/blueprints/Standard Work Instructions.
  • Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts up to 35 lbs and team lift up to 60lbs.
  • Train and work in various areas of assembly in response to production demands.
  • Follow verbal and written work instructions.
  • Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 6S standards.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing or general labor industry.

  • This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations.
  • The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting items up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing, or using tools and equipment.
  • Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.
  • Visual and auditory acuity are needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication in a busy workspace.
