Position Title: Learning Services Assistant – College Experience Days
Status: PNRK (Project of a non-recurring kind) 5- Month Contract
Hours: 35hrs per week
Faculty/Department: Community Outreach and Workforce Development
Campus/Location: 205 Humber College Blvd
Salary: (Min) $24.43 (Max) $28.29
About the Learning Services Assistant Role:
This position provides excellence in front-line customer service, clerical, and event support in the Community Outreach and Workforce Development department. Duties include but are not limited to, the following:
Handle telephone and in-person inquiries from students, staff, school board contacts, community agencies, and the general public; maintain a professional atmosphere; word process correspondence; maintain databases, create and update surveys as needed, support events, and provide back-up for other staff when needed.
The incumbent will also create directional signage/posters; organize and assist with the distribution and collection of surveys and packages; organize and attend meetings and special events; assist with packaging of swag items, classroom supplies, and textbooks for students; book boardrooms/office spaces & order catering when required.

Education
The successful candidate will have a 2-year diploma in a related field
Experience/Skills
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of related experience (Note: Work Integrated Learning will be considered) and should demonstrate the following:
Experience working in a busy office environment and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience working with student information systems and/or relatively complex computer information systems
Previous experience working with children aged 8-17
Ability to take direction and work independently
Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite
Strong oral and written communication skills
Research and analysis skills
Conflict management skills
