Pilgrim Area Collaborative is a public educational collaborative that serves students with a wide range of disabilities from primary through post-secondary levels from all over the South Shore.
We have an immediate need for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) during the 2025-2026 School Year in our elementary, middle, and high school programs. All applicants must be a certified RBT.
Well-qualified candidates will have experience with students dealing with social emotional disabilities and/or high functioning ASD. There is an optional ESY Program for summer employment as well for Summer 2025.
This is a full-time position to start immediately.
Performance Responsibilities – Registered Behavioral Technician:
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Certified as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
3. Officially appointed as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
4. Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed
5. Basic knowledge of technology
Reports to: Supervising BCBA & PAC Program Director
Registered Behavioral Technician (RBTs) possess a range of skills and competencies that enable them to effectively support individual to include:
- Implementing Behavior Plans: RBTs are responsible for implementing behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). They follow specific strategies and techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior change.
- Collecting and Analyzing Data: RBTs play a crucial role in collecting and analyzing data related to the behavior of individuals. This data helps in evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and making informed decisions about treatment plans.
- Assisting with Skill Acquisition: RBTs support individuals in acquiring and developing various skills; such as communication, social interaction, self-help, and academic skills. RBTs are expected to follow structured teaching methods and provide individualized instruction to promote skill acquisition.
