The Challenge
As a Pre-Sales Engineer at Urbantz, you will serve as the technical advocate in the sales process, bridging commercial and technical discussions with prospects and clients.
Your mission : deliver impactful technical presentations, demos, and solution designs that showcase the true value of Urbantz, while enabling sales teams to win complex deals.
Key Objectives
- Collaborate with Account Executives to deliver tailored product demonstrations and technical workshops that speak directly to client pain points in logistics and last-mile delivery.
- Lead the design and configuration of Urbantz simulation environments, ensuring every engagement is customized to the customer’s specific markets, processes and technical landscape.
- Own the technical qualification of opportunities, mapping prospect needs, integrating with stakeholders (IT, operations, business), and influencing solution scope.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, handling advanced product questions, addressing objections, and ensuring smooth transitions from sales to implementation.
- Enable the broader sales team through ongoing training on platform features, demo customization, and best practices for technical presentations.
- Actively gather client feedback and evolving market requirements, relaying these insights to our product and engineering teams for continuous improvement.
- Represent Urbantz at industry events, webinars, and client-facing activities as a subject matter expert in SaaS-enabled last-mile delivery.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver high-impact technical presentations and demos to prospective clients, both remotely and on-site.
- Support the sales process by responding to technical requirements in RFPs, RFIs, and proposals.
- Build and maintain demo and sandbox environments for multiple regions and verticals.
- Align closely with product and engineering teams to stay updated on roadmap, new releases, and integration capabilities.
- Provide training sessions and documentation to upskill Account Executives and partners on technical sales topics.
- Drive competitive differentiation by clearly communicating Urbantz platform advantages in diverse European and global contexts.
The Must Haves
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or technical consulting for SaaS, logistics tech, or enterprise platforms.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, able to engage both technical and business audiences.
- Deep interest in last-mile, logistics, or supply chain innovation.
- Skilled at designing solution architectures and explaining technical concepts simply and persuasively.
- Experience supporting sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and geographies.
- Professional fluency in French, English, and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Comfortable traveling occasionally within Europe for key client meetings and events.
- Agile learner, proactive, and eager to make an impact in a fast-growth company environment.
