Job Summary
***Flexible Start time either 11AM or 7PM***
Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse circulator, the Surgical Technologist assists in the preparation, processing, and maintenance of supplies and equipment, and functions as a member of the surgical team during operative procedures.
The Operating Room Technician is a team member who functions in a support position, working
collaboratively under the immediate direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Duties are directed
toward the delivery of patient care services and may, within guidelines, be adapted to the needs of the
individual units.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $43.30 - $54.05 (Hourly Rate).

- Graduate of surgical technologist training program or equivalent experience.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR for healthcare providers.
- High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program
- Proficiency in Orthopedic, Robotic, Plastic Surgery
- Gender Re-affirmation
- Experience with Hospital Inpatient Care and Surgical Centers
License/Certification
