WHAT YOU'LL DO 

We are seeking a motivated office coordinator with IT experience who is eager to learn and grow within a collaborative design environment. This role combines technical IT support with opportunities to apply hands-on fabrication skills, supporting both our digital infrastructure and our project teams.

Provide day-to-day IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues

• Assist with setup and maintenance of computer systems, printers, plotters, and other office technology
• Support CAD, BIM, and fabrication-related software installations and updates
• Adapt to shifting priorities between fabrication support, general office support and facilities management tasks, depending on the office needs
• Provide technical assistance for digital-to-physical workflows, ensuring seamless integration between design files and fabrication output
• Help maintain IT asset inventory and fabrication equipment logs
• Participate in special projects that bridge IT and fabrication technology
• Utilizes basic technical knowledge to support IT initiatives
• Follows DES IT standards, document lessons learned and share knowledge with the rest of the team
• Assist the fabrication team with material sourcing, inventory checks, and preparation to ensure projects have the resources needed to meet deadlines
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on IT support experience
• Associates degree in Information Technology, B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred
• Hands-on experience in a fabrication shop preferred
• Knowledge of Windows OS, building and rebuilding computers
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with hardware, software, and network systems
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional organizational, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills
• Eagerness to learn new systems, adapt quickly, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to research problems and create solutions
• Ability to work 5 days a week onsite in the Redwood City office 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without any restrictions or requirement of visa sponsorship now or in the future

The typical pay range for this position is $24 - $28 per hour. Compensation depends on the individual's skills, experience, education, and geographic location.
