Our KYC Centre of Excellence are on the lookout for a TM and CDD Specialist to join our dynamic team. You’ll play a fundamental role in steering the implementation and execution of our TM & CDD strategy while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and global standards.

As a TM and CDD Specialist, you’ll be a key contributor to the implementation and continuous improvement of TM and CDD frameworks. You’ll drive regulatory compliance and operational excellence by translating complex risk, regulatory, and KYC requirements into actionable business logic and sustainable procedures. In addition, you’ll collaborate with global and local stakeholders on initiatives involving AI, machine learning, risk assessments, and process tuning, while ensuring alignment with AML/FEC policies and audit expectations. 

Furthermore, you’ll act as a key point of contact for regulatory change within the KYC/FCP function and lead end-to-end change management, including impact analysis, training, and SOP updates.

This is a permanent role based in Sydney.


What you’ll do

  • Work closely with 2LoD and ING Global on the design and implementation of global TM and CDD best practices.
  • Drive enhancements to existing TM and CDD systems, rules, processes and procedures.
  • Develop, maintain and review documented AML framework to ensure mitigation of relevant customer related risks identified in the SIRA risk assessment.
  • Ensure the above framework is appropriately reviewed by Compliance and regularly updated for changes in the risk profile.
  • CDD Program implementation and support, including owning and ongoing enhancement of the KYC and CDD environment.
  • Collaborate with local and global stakeholders, including Tribe and Operations, on CDD initiatives with a focus on improving Digi60 and Ops60 performance.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in a financial services risk related role, preferably within AML or Fraud.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Operational Risk Management Frameworks and AML/CTF compliance frameworks.
  • Sound understanding of the design and management of AML monitoring systems and controls.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to timeframe and achieve set outcomes. 
  • Strong knowledge of Banking regulatory requirements and legislation. 
  • Tertiary qualifications at bachelor’s degree or higher in business, banking or finance disciplines.
