Position Summary

This is a global position requiring 60/40 Technical/Functional skills. 

Those technical skills encompass design, develop, and implement data extraction, transformation, load and sets/models, reports and dashboards using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) / Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) (required) and Microsoft Power BI (PBI) platforms (desired).  Administration of OAC/FDI and PBI environments including management of security, patching, upgrading, performance tuning, publishing, and promotion management.  Lead discussions with the infrastructure team to determine the best design to satisfy functional requirements for advancing the maturity of the organization's business intelligence capabilities.  

Skills and experience in the Fusion ERP reporting ecosystem (e.g. BI Publisher, OTBI & SmartView) is also desired, or a willingness to learn and cross train in these fields.

Possess both business skills and experience in the following functional areas - business requirements, business processes, and KPI metrics in the areas of Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, Manufacturing/Operations, Maintenance & Quality.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership on the reporting system architecture and administration in our Oracle Analytics/Fusion Data Intelligence, Power BI & Fusion ERP environments following BI industry best practices.
  • Work with implementation partner(s) to set up Oracle Analytics/Fusion Data Intelligence pipeline & platform at HEM. The project will involve migration from SAP Business Objects to Fusion Data Intelligence platforms and future Intelligent Enterprise.
  • Work with business SME’s to translate business requirements into prototype and technical design.
  • Provide solutions to the data sourcing, extraction, transformation and load design in order to satisfy data models required to support visualization.
  • Solve complex technical problems related to both Oracle Analytics/Fusion Data Intelligence, PBI reporting environments, and Fusion ERP.
  • Configure and optimize AI Agent within OAC/FDI. 
  • Optimize the performance of enterprise business Intelligence tools by performing audits and making recommendations for scheduled report loads, load plans and data tuning.
  • Develop/track and disseminate BI usage and performance metrics.
  • Research new technologies and develop business cases to support global business intelligence solutions.
  • Analyze disparate source data arriving from internal and external systems and make sound implementation recommendations for integration into the Intelligent Enterprise.
  • Work with hardware/software engineers, DBA, application vendors and Technology services to ensure that BI solutions are reliable, scalable, flexible and low maintenance.
  • Evaluate and implement new products to enhance HEM’s Business Intelligence reporting environment.
  • Administer Oracle Analytics/FDI infrastructure such as management of security, patching and upgrading, performance tuning, publishing, promotion management.
  • Ensure that the BI environment design supports high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and administer Oracle Analytics/FDI and Power BI infrastructure, data models and data sets.
  • Participate in ongoing Business Intelligence and performance tuning activities.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and fine tune existing and new reports.
  • Work with global IT management team to understand and prioritize data and information requirements.
  • Supervise BI contractor(s) for SAP Business Objects and Power BI platforms.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year College or University in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 7 + years of experience in development and implementation of BI Solutions, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • 3 + years of experience in development and implementation of Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) / Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) (required) utilizing tools such as Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for both ETL and Semantic Data Modeling, Subject Area/RPD, BI Publisher, Dashboard and Narrative Reporting.
  • Experience in development and implementation of Power BI dashboards (desired).
  • Experience in using Oracle queries and multi-providers for sourcing data.
  • Experience in Fusion ERP reporting ecosystem such as BI Publisher, OTBI, SmartView (desired)
  • Experience in Oracle Analytics/FDI and PBI Administration, security management, performance tuning and installations.
  • Experience in development of dashboards, and presentation of data using Oracle Analytics/FDI and Power BI.
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) knowledge and experience.
  • Expert level SQL Skills.
  • Customization skills using Java Script and/or VB Script.

  • Ability to travel – up to 25%.
