About the Role

As a key member of our Communications and Community team, you’ll lead the development, execution and reporting of our corporate responsibility agenda, aligned with our Saputo Promise commitments. This cross-functional role works closely with senior leaders across the business to drive sustainable growth, enhance profitability, and deliver meaningful community and industry impact.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Responsibility Strategy & Execution

  • Lead and support initiatives under the Saputo Promise and localise global Saputo ESG goals to SDA’s operations.
  • Own SDA’s ethical governance and audit program, including full lifecycle management of Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audits (SMETAs) and Self-Assessment Questionnaires (SAQs).
  • Work collaboratively across the business to educate and prepare stakeholders for audit compliance, including coordination of physical audits and escalation of findings.
  • Apply a constructive approach to resolving challenges, building trust and alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to drive improvements aligned with ethical standards and audit outcomes.

Community Pillar Leadership

  • Deliver impactful community partnerships and programs (e.g. Legacy Program, Volunteer Time Off, Big Cook Up).
  • Build and maintain relationships with SDA community partners.
  • Manage community sponsorship and donation processes.

Reporting & Governance

  • Track and report progress against Saputo Promise targets.
  • Prepare internal and external reports.
  • Manage community investment metrics and budgets.

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications: Tertiary degree in Arts, Science, Agriculture, Environmental, Business or related field

  • Ideally 5+ years’ experience in corporate responsibility or ESG roles (within the FMCG and dairy sectors will be well regarded).
  • Proficiency with the SEDEX platform or expertise leading ethical audits.
  • Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • A constructive approach to problem solving, navigating ambiguity and resolving challenges collaboratively to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisation - project management skills (desirable).
