With a mission to create proud communities living their best lives, we’re now seeking a committed and strategic Area Asset Manager (you may know this role as Facilities Manager or Building Services Manager) to play a key role in managing and enhancing our flag ship site, the RSL LifeCare ANZAC Village in Narrabeen on Sydney’s stunning northern beaches.

Reporting to the Regional Asset Manager, this role represents an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in property and asset management in a complex, meaningful environment—one where your decisions contribute directly to safety, compliance, customer satisfaction, and the long-term success of our residential and community-based services.

As our new Area Asset Manager, your focus will be on:

  • Optimising asset performance ensuring safety and quality compliance, and lifecycle cost performance based upon sound asset management principles, annual business planning and budget formulation

  • Implementing minor capital works, refurbishments, and maintenance strategies

  • Embedding sustainability and risk management into assets and their operations

  • Partnering with stakeholders to align built-form outcomes with resident and operational needs

  • Supporting the implementation of a forward-looking and market leading Asset Management Framework


You will work closely with Compliance, Maintenance, and Refurbishment teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality outcomes. This is not just about maintaining assets—it’s about enabling environments where residents and employees can thrive.


To succeed in this role, we’d expect you to have: 

  • Significant and demonstrable experience in a building/facilities management role including project management (concurrently managing various aspects of work on site)

  • Knowledge of aged care maintenance operations and standards, including safety and safe working requirements would be highly advantageous, though not essential.

  • High levels of communication, people and contractor management, influencing and negotiation skills

  • Experience working with; multiple trades, building and contractor risk, WHS, essential fire safety measures, mechanical, electrical and plumbing services etc

  • Demonstrated history of co-ordinating and deploying contracted resources to achieve business outcomes, including emergency response work

  • Australian work rights and a valid Australian driving licence
