The opportunity 
EY’s Business Consulting team is seeking experienced professionals to support transformation initiatives in the Insurance sector, with a specific focus on reinsurance. As a Consultant or Senior Consultant in our Financial Services Practice, you will work on strategic projects with leading reinsurance firms, helping them navigate operational, regulatory, and technological change. This role is ideal for candidates with 2–5 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance. 

Your Key Responsibilities 

  • Deliver transformation projects across insurance and reinsurance, focusing on operating model design, process improvement, and digital enablement.  

  • Translate business requirements into system solutions in collaboration with tech and build teams.  

  • Apply EY frameworks to ensure delivery quality, compliance, and innovation.  

  • Present recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and structured format.  

  •  Support business development and internal capability building. 

 

Skills And Attributes For Success 

  • 2–5 years of experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry.  

  • Solid understanding of insurance or reinsurance business models, core processes, and regulatory landscape.  

  • Experience in requirements engineering, including stakeholder alignment, documentation, and validation. 

  • Exposure to agile delivery environments, with familiarity in Scrum or SAFe frameworks.  

  • Proven ability to structure complex problems and deliver actionable solutions.  

  •  Strong client relationship skills, including experience in account support and business development.  

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.  

  • High level of initiative and motivation, with the ability to take ownership of workstreams.  

  • Strong academic background from a recognized university or university of applied sciences.  

  • Fluency in English; German strongly preferred. Swiss German or other languages are a plus.
