Position: Event Manager

Team: Central

Reports to: Director of Operations

Status:: 25 hours/week - Non-Exempt


The Event Manager is responsible for planning and managing all major internal church events, including conferences, special events, outreach campaigns and more; while working closely with ministry leaders to establish clear vision and objectives for these strategic initiatives.  Internal events are focused on execution of the ministry vision. For external events, this position is responsible for developing and marketing Hosanna’s event spaces and capabilities to our key partners and faith community, as well as serving as primary onsite manager.  

Requirements
  •  Responsible for designing and implementing the event program for internal and external events across campuses, ensuring alignment with Hosanna’s ministry vision and mission.
  • Responsible for developing and executing a marketing plan, in partnership with Communications, to build awareness of the opportunity to host events at Hosanna campuses. This includes building relationships and partnerships within the communities.
  • Responsible for developing in collaboration with Care, Local Impact and Heart Response Ministries regularly scheduled community nights at Hosanna’s campuses.  
  • Work as part of the Resource Calendar Management Team (RCMT) to coordinate dates, ensure resource availability , documentation, and budget, working closely with the Resource Coordinator to ensure all events are tracked within the reservation system. 
  • Responsible for meeting with external organizations on event requests. Responsible for gathering requirements, managing communications, project plans, budgets, and any additional support required for the event. 
  • Responsible for coordinating other internal events, in collaboration with staff across all campuses,  to include, but not limited to, OverTime (Adult Ministry), Staff Meetings, annual church-wide events.
  • Responsible for managing Hosanna events and special ministry activities for church-wide coordination and specific campuses. The primary internal focus events include Easter, Christmas, Christmas Concert, Fall Kick Off, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. 
  • Responsible for determining appropriate levels of staffing, volunteers, resources, etc for major events and managing all internal communication, ensuring everyone is prepared for the event.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree - required  
  • Event management experience - 3 yrs required
  • Experience with Google Suite - preferred

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Schedule will include working evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required by event and ministry needs. This includes multiple Christmas Eve services and Easter.
  • Extensive standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Repetitive keyboard and mouse movements requirements.
  • May require lifting up to 25 lbs.
Salary Description
$24/hr - $28.85/hr DOQ & education
