Position Title: Project Manager II
Purpose: The Project Manager II is responsible for managing, coordinating, and establishing priorities for the complete lifecycle of Corporate Projects including the planning, design, programming, testing and implementation of business solutions designed to meet the requirements of various departments with adherence to stringent deadlines and budgetary considerations. This position provides leadership and guidance as it coordinates the efforts of multiple disciplines including outside vendors and consultants as required to drive project completion.
Essential Functions:
- Directs and manages complete project lifecycle to include planning, staffing, implementing and evaluation.
- Defines the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management focusing on desired outcome for customer and employee experience
- Creates a detailed project plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
- Determines the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project
- Collaborates with team members to develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
- Reviews the project schedule with project management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revises the schedule as required
- Determines the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
- Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Takes meeting minutes and sends out action items during all Project meetings
- Conducts project postmortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
2. Manages and collects all monthly status reports, reviews for completeness and prepares reports for presentation at Management meetings.
3. Serves as the subject matter expert for tools and templates utilized in the Project Management process
4. Provides mentoring and training to project participants on Project Management software.
5. Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management.
6. Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work.
Job Related Qualifications – Education and Prior Experience:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business or related field
- Prior Experience: 4+ years of project management experience in business and technology specific projects.
Competencies:
- Demonstrated project management experience effectively working with multiple, diverse stakeholders in a complex project environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information in an effective concise manner to employees with diverse skill sets
- Solid working knowledge of technical infrastructure and process, including data warehouse and reporting technology, data conversion, system integration, and testing
- Ability to positively lead and work cooperatively and effectively with all levels of staff to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions to achieve company-wide results
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to learn and utilize new and existing banking software applications
Physical Requirements:
- Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Able to travel occasionally throughout corporate footprint.
- Extensive computer usage is required.
- Ability to work evenings occasionally

The expected rate of pay for this position is shown above. Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, licenses or certifications obtained.
