POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities of this position are to efficiently process and expedite Accounts Payable functions on a day-to-day basis. The Accounts Payable Administrator maintains complete and accurate payable records and responds promptly to all inquiries from internal and external customers (i.e. Manager, Regional/Area Managers, Community Managers, Accountants, Supervisors, Vendors, etc.).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Scans invoices into software and match purchase orders to the invoices and enter all pertinent invoice information in the Yardi Accounting software timely and accurately
Responds promptly and professionally to account payable support requests and calls from site employees, management, lenders and vendors
Reviews and compares the invoices on the statement with the information in Yardi
Requests copies of any missing invoices and check payment status on the open invoices in Yardi
Communicates with vendors and take care of any requests or problems in a timely and professional manner
Assists AP Cash admin with check runs to ensure checks are sorted, folded, and stuffed into envelopes to be mailed
Backups other AP Administrators when out of office and assist with their assigned duties
Assists in the training and development of all new employees
Actively participates in the review and policy writing of the AP Manual
Performs any other authorized Accounts Payable functions necessary to ensure the proper and effective operation of the Accounts Payable Department and fulfill other duties that may be assigned by direct supervisor or upper management
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School graduate or equivalent
Accounting related college courses (preferred)
Two (2) years A/P experience in a high volume office
Two (2) years Property Management Experience (preferred)
Good verbal and written English communication skills
Ability to compile information and calculate basic mathematical results accurately such as totals, percentages and differences
PAY: $24-$26/hr + $1,200 bonus potential.
