Overview
As a Welding Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the welding operations within a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of welding work, scheduling and directing work activities, and managing a team of welders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee welding activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Review and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements
- Supervise and manage a team of welders, providing guidance and feedback as needed
- Schedule and coordinate welding work based on project timelines and demands
- Perform quality control checks on welding work to ensure compliance with standards and specifications
- Monitor inventory of welding consumables and equipment, and order replacements when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of welding activities, and produce reports as needed
· Requirements
- Experience as a Welding Supervisor or similar role
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and equipment
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Certification in welding or related field preferred
- Ability to weld all materials including aluminum
