POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Graduate Engineer II at LJA Land Development, you will be responsible for performing entry-level professional engineering work including developmental assignments involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under close supervision.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:
- Responsible for designing specific system components for the overall design effort.
- Perform design calculations, prepare equipment or material specifications, and provide direction to technical support or drafting personnel.
- Assignments require investigation of a limited number of variables; supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems and possible solutions.
- Determine additional information that is needed from internal clients and coordinate them directly with LJA.
- Make basic decisions regarding alternative procedures when information is not given.
- Applied prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of the broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Adjust and correlate data.
- Recognize discrepancies in results and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
- May exercise limited judgment in making preliminary method selections and the adoption of alternatives.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science, in Civil Engineering is required.
- EIT License required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of experience in Land Development
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships
IDEALLY, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE:
- Experience working multi-family, single-family, and site development projects.
