Key Responsibilities:
The System/Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of our systems, which includes servers, networks, security, backups, and cloud services.
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including hardware, system software, applications, and all configurations.
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Install and integrate new server hardware and applications, keeping systems updated with the latest software patches.
- Administer and maintain virtualized environments (e.g., Hyper-V, Citrix) and cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Monitor network performance and security to identify and resolve issues proactively, test for weaknesses, and ensure network availability.
- Troubleshoot network and system problems reported by end-users, resolving hardware and software issues.
- Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords, particularly within Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra.
- Implement and maintain security measures, including anti-virus, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Analyze and recommend changes to improve system and network configurations, determining hardware and software requirements.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of the network and system infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
- Technical skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems.
- Experience with Linux administration is a plus.
- Familiarity with Sonicwall or similar networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP) and services (DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies.
- Experience managing and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory/Entra.
- Familiarity with security tools and best practices.

Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a system or network administration role.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
