Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery, tools, equipment, and facilities to ensure maximum uptime and safe operation. This role supports production operations by performing both preventive and corrective maintenance, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines, tools, and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and work orders.
- Assist with equipment installation, setup, and calibration.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment problems and improve processes.
- Maintain an organized work area and contribute to 5S/continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance logging and reporting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
- Work in various environments (including noise, heat, or cold).
- Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and safe tool handling.
