The Go Redmond Outreach Administrator plays a central role in advancing Redmond’s transportation demand management (TDM) goals by promoting alternatives to driving alone to City of Redmond employees and the public. This position leads outreach, events, and marketing efforts to increase awareness and participation in sustainable travel choices to City of Redmond employees and other commuters. The Administrator also implements innovative programs that make it easier for residents, City of Redmond employees, and commuters to choose safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly ways to get around Redmond.


Note: This position is a part-time position that will work 20 hours/week. In addition, this role is limited duration, with an anticipated end date of 12/31/2026.

Position Duties

  • Administer the City of Redmond’s Commuter Assistance Office (CAO), including evaluating and updating the program consistent with Department goals and in compliance with applicable state and city regulations.
  • Serves as liaison between the Go Redmond program and internal staff at staff meetings, community events, etc to cultivate relationships that increase education, and engagement of the Go Redmond program.
  • Support public outreach with the preparation and distribution of informational, educational, and marketing materials.
  • Coordinates special events, tabling opportunities, and group activities (e.g. bike rides, transit tours) to share information about the program to community groups, staff, and other agencies.
  • Monitors performance of program, makes recommendations for adjustments and strategy, including new policies to improve program effectiveness. 
  • Tracks and reviews efforts to ensure compliance and identify resources and partnerships that contribute to program. 
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate Go Redmond campaigns such as Bike to Work Month, Transit Month, and other promotions for internal staff.
  • Support the creation of resources such as maps, brochures, and program collateral to encourage biking, walking, carpooling, and transit use.
  • Purchase, distribute, and track incentives that support local businesses and reward sustainable commuting choices.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Four years’ experience in program administration or project management in assigned program;
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree related to assigned field preferred
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
