Position Summary:

Reporting to the Registrar, the Assistant to the Registrar (Temp & Part-time) is responsible for the administrative functions of the Office of the Registrar. This role has overall responsibility for front-line services to students by creating an atmosphere of exceptional quality service for all students, faculty, staff, and the public.  This temporary, part-time (20 hours/ week) position is on-site, and the period for this role will be from October 1, 2025, until December 12, 2025 (10 weeks).  

 

Essential Duties (to include, but not limited to):

  • Assists the Registrar with maintaining the integrity and security of student records.  Including entering and updating student information in Jenzabar (e.g. transfer credits and exemptions, changes in status, withdrawals, dismissals, completions); and organizing physical files
  • Responsible for processing official College documents such as transcripts and letters of verification, among other documents.
  • Maintains a current understanding of all pertinent FERPA policies
  • Answers Office of the Registrar emails and phone calls.
  • Works on projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications for the Role:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working in customer service or higher education
  • Experience providing customer service to the public/special groups/clients and working in a student information system.
  • Ability to work independently, requiring minimal supervision;
  • Strong planning/problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Ability to work collegially in a collaborative environment;
  • Ability to exercise individual initiative, independent action, and sound judgment.

 

Preferred Qualifications for the Role:

  • Prior work experience in Higher Education
  • Prior experience with Jenzabar 
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior experience using the National Student Clearinghouse
