The Product Delivery Lead enables Xplan Portfolio product teams to deliver meaningful customer and business outcomes by embedding disciplined yet empowering delivery practices. This role ensures alignment across teams and stakeholders, anticipates and mitigates risks, and champions quality standards that support predictable, high-value delivery.
By fostering transparent communication, monitoring delivery health, and driving continuous improvement, the Product Delivery Lead creates the conditions for empowered product teams to focus on outcomes while ensuring work flows effectively from strategy through to execution.
Some of the amazing things you’ll be involved in:
Delivery Enablement: Support empowered product teams (PM, Engineering, Design) by ensuring effective planning, coordination, and delivery rhythms that help teams meet their objectives without losing autonomy.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain transparent, outcome-focused communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing clarity on progress, priorities, and risks.
Risk & Dependency Management: Anticipate and address risks or dependencies that could impact product outcomes, working with teams to implement mitigation strategies early.
Quality & Standards Advocacy: Champion practices that ensure the quality and reliability of deliverables, partnering with teams rather than policing them.
Performance Insights: Provide reporting that highlights delivery health, flow efficiency, and outcome achievement (e.g., against OKRs), avoiding output-only tracking.
Continuous Improvement: Facilitate retrospectives, feedback loops, and process improvements.
What you will bring:
7–10 years in delivery, program, or portfolio leadership (preferably in SaaS, finance, or regulated industries).
A proven track record in a similar role within both the financial services and technology sector.
Strong experience with Agile at scale and hybrid delivery models. Demonstrated ability to bring discipline, foresight, and structure while empowering product and engineering teams.
Delivery Leadership: Strong track record leading delivery across multiple teams, aligning strategy to execution, and enabling predictable outcomes.
Project & Portfolio Management: Solid knowledge of program/project management methods, Agile at scale, and portfolio-level coordination.
Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and influencing skills with executives, product leaders, engineering, and external stakeholders.
Risk & Dependency Management: Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks and dependencies to protect delivery outcomes.
Data & Insights Orientation: Proficient in using delivery metrics (e.g., throughput, cycle time, OKRs) to provide actionable insights and drive improvement.
Quality Mindset: Understanding of quality assurance practices; able to embed standards that ensure reliability without unnecessary overhead.
Facilitation & Collaboration: Experienced in leading workshops, retrospectives, and cross-team forums to unlock alignment and accelerate progress.
Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Able to navigate ambiguity, resolve blockers quickly, and adapt delivery practices to evolving business needs.
Continuous Improvement: Passionate about optimisation, embedding feedback loops, and cultivating a culture of learning.
Personal Attributes: Proactive, outcome-focused, empathetic, and resilient; balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
