Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

- Grade 9/10 Starting at a salary of $129,464 + Super
- Temporary role until September 2026
What will you do?
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work on a multi-stream program within a multi-discipline team responsible for executing website and API testing services in relation to improvements on nsw.gov.au. The role delivers the specialised aspects of product quality including automation, functionality, usability, accessibility and performance testing solutions to deliver business systems in line with strategic plans.
Your day-to-day
Responsibilities will include:
• Working in an agile fashion with a scrum delivery team to plan the preferred approach to testing new features on an ongoing basis.
• Work with multiple delivery squads as directed by Principal Quality Assurance Engineer and Quality Assurance Chapter Lead.
• Conduct functional testing against acceptance criteria including cross browser/device testing, responsive design testing, accessibility testing and follow best practice QA procedures and standards.
• Deliver test plans, test scenarios, test case for user stories ensuring alignment to functional and non-functional requirements
• Take complete responsibility of delivery of new features through various environments and ensure features are tested thoroughly during the process.
• Contribute towards automated regression testing to enhance regression test coverage and conduct peer review automated tests developed by other QA Engineers
• Participate in regression testing and post deployment testing
Your experience
The ideal candidate will have:
• More than 8 years’ experience as QA Engineer preferably testing large and complex web applications.
• Hands on experience on web automation testing like Selenium, Cypress
• Demonstrated experience in Accessibility Testing
• Experience in Automated Visual Testing is highly recommended
• Working experience using source control tools and test management system.
• Exposure on using any industry standard Content Management System (CMS). Experience on Drupal is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and management skills.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
• Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude to work to tight deadlines.
