Job Purpose
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end customer experience, proactively addressing issues, and building strong relationships that benefit both the customer and DP World Global Forwarding.
You will work closely with Business Development, Sales, Commercial, and Operational teams to deliver service excellence and reinforce DP World’s position as a trusted partner in providing freight forwarding solutions.
Key Accountabilities
- Serve as the primary customer contact, overseeing end-to-end shipment execution and issue resolution.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring service excellence.
- Proactively monitor shipments, communicate deviations, and provide timely updates.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business with existing customers.
- Support the Key Account Manager in onboarding and transitioning new business.
- Prepare accurate quotes and rate updates, while mentoring team members to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- 4+ year’s experience in import freight operations and customer service, with strong knowledge of Australian import processes.
- Proficiency in Cargowise (WiseTech) and strong IT/administration skills.
- Strong external service provider relationships and extensive supply chain knowledge.
- Proven ability to work independently, resolve issues, and meet task-driven milestones and deadlines.
- Excellent customer service focus, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant industry qualifications (RACA/IATA/FIATA) and Cargowise training/certification (preferred).
