Description
OnQCx is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent (Electrical) to support the construction of a hyperscale data center project in Hillsboro, OR.
This role will oversee all electrical scopes of work in the field, ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-schedule execution. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of mission-critical electrical systems and proven experience coordinating MEP trades on large-scale industrial or data center projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all electrical field activities, including subcontractors, installations, and testing.
- Manage day-to-day electrical construction schedules, manpower, and sequencing to align with project milestones.
- Supervise installation of medium/low voltage power distribution, UPS systems, switchgear, generators, grounding, lighting, and controls.
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, NEC, and client quality standards.
- Monitor safety performance of subcontractors and enforce site safety programs.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical and plumbing teams to resolve interface issues.
- Participate in commissioning readiness, punch lists, and turnover of electrical systems.
- Maintain detailed field logs, reports, and issue escalation to project management.
- Act as the client’s representative in the field — ensuring alignment between construction execution and project objectives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in electrical construction with at least 5 years in a Superintendent or leadership role.
- Proven experience on hyperscale data center or mission-critical projects (required).
- Strong technical knowledge of power distribution systems, UPS, switchgear, generators, and electrical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with commissioning processes and MEP trade coordination.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to proactively identify and resolve field issues, ensuring minimal impact to schedule and budget
