About the role

  • Accurately manage and process medical request forms to ensure smooth operations and fast turnaround times.
  • Be the friendly face and voice for client phone inquiries, offering top-notch customer service with every call.
  • Handle everything from labelling and centrifugation to aliquoting and storage, ensuring specimens are ready for analysis.
  • Operate cutting-edge pre-analytical processing equipment and stay on top of the latest lab technologies.
  • Assist with lab housekeeping, maintenance, and courier duties—delivering blood products and picking up specimens across the hospital.

About you

  • Proven qualifications and/or hands-on experience in a relevant area of pathology, offering a strong foundation of both knowledge and practical skills for the role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, fostering effective collaboration with team members and smooth interactions with clients.
  • A customer service-oriented professional, skilled in delivering a positive and professional experience, with excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Strong data entry capabilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of prioritising tasks, managing multiple responsibilities, and working independently with focus and productivity.
