Exciting opportunity to join our established and expanding organization. Accredited by The Joint Commission, Hudson Behavioral Health is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization providing Behavioral Health Treatment in Salisbury, Maryland. Since its inception in 1980, Hudson Behavioral Health has been providing cutting edge treatment for Substance Use and other co-occurring disorders. Our services include Detoxification, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Partial Hospitalization, Treatment, 3.1 Housing and Outpatient Mental Health.


We are looking for a Peer Recovery Specialist who can work at least one shift on the weekends.

This position will include day and some evening hours.


Responsibilities:

Relate to individuals as an advocate, promoting person-centered recovery and wellness support services.

Serve as a voice of the individual in team/clinical meeting

Serve as a role model.

Meet with individuals to provide peer mentoring, linkages to resources, and share (as appropriate) his or her personal recovery story, and provide hope.

Recognize and maintain professional and personal boundaries.

Practice non-judgmental behavior.

Educate through shared experiences.

Support the development of effective communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.

On call crisis intervention, including assisting in AMA blocks at all levels of care (evenings and weekends probable).

Requirements

High School Diploma or its equivalent.

A minimum of 2 years of personal or professional experience in the field of Addiction.

Peer Certification or currently eligible or willing to work towards peer support certification within 1 year of hire date.

Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 violations.
