Salary Range: $96,000 to $106,000 -Depending on Experience

San Jose Behavioral Health is currently seeking a Manager - Accounting to assist the accounting department and our 133 bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital, located in South San Jose, CA.

PURPOSE STATEMENT: 

Responsible for the direction of the facility financial servicesi including general accounting, payroll, budgeting, and all other aspects of the facility accounting department.

​ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability or other financial activities within the facility.
• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.  
• ​Analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports.

• ​Prepare and examine monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure the records are accurate and timely.
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
• Prepare month end journal entries and GL account reconciliations within established time frame.
• Prepare requird financial reports on a monthnly, quarterly and annual basis as required.
• Ensure the financial records are accurate and file timely.
• Assist, monitor and coordinate accounting and financial projects as assigned by CFO
• Assist CFO with schedules, reports, audits and projects per Corporate and other agencys requests.
• Serve as a backup to the Payroll/AP Staff Accountant when needed

• ​Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. 

​EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 

• ​Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field required.   

• Five years's accounting experience preferred, in a healthcare setting a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
• Public accounting firm's experiences are required.
• Strong accounting background, analytic skills and knowledge of GAAP are required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel Required.
• Works well under pressure and in a fast paced environment
• High Degree of attention to detail and multi tasking
• Ownership and pride in work product.
• Strong time management and organization skills.

Compensation for roles at San Jose Behavioral Health varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, San Jose Behavioral Health provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California as set forth below:
