GN Consumer Hearing Corporation (d/b/a Jabra Hearing) has an opening for the position of Senior Lead Product Designer, based out of its company headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota. This position affords a telecommuting benefit, allowing the employee to work anywhere in the contiguous United States. Lead the evolution and maintenance of design systems. Oversee collaboration with design teams and product managers to design product experiences throughout commercialization process. Lead and guide work of technical staff, serving as liaison between business and technical aspects of company design work. Review and lead company design policies through all phases to ensure that designs are production ready. Assess current and future customer needs and priorities, translating expertise, insight, and strategy into product experiences that support hearing health and user independence. Set standards for company design work. Develop interfaces for complex interactions, such as remote adjustments, firmware updates, and diagnostics. Direct user research initiatives to refine and improve product usability. Oversee the development of prototypes to convey product experience. Confer with senior personnel to identify key design questions and facilitate rollout for software developer teams. Review modifications to project plans. Facilitate meetings related to information technology projects. Convey project status reports to senior leadership. Salary ranges from $108,285 to $160,000, commensurate with experience, and standard company benefits including medical and life insurance, 401(k), disability, and PTO. Minimum Requirements: Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Design, Design Management, Digital Media, or another technical design discipline plus three years of experience as a product designer. The totality of this experience must also include (1) Ownership of end-to-end design for consumer mobile applications; (2) Designing complex interaction flows, information architecture, visual and motion design, and prototyping; (3) Use of Figma and B2C digital products; and (4) Working with mobile UX/UI best practices. One year of this work must have also included work in Healthcare, Medtech, or a similarly regulated industry. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Design, Design Management, Digital Media, or another technical design discipline plus five years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience as a product designer, the totality of such post-bachelor’s experience must include the specific experience outlined above. One year of this work must have also involved work in Healthcare, Medtech, or a similarly regulated industry.
