Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Forensic Referral Coordinator to join our team in Tacoma, WA.

Scope: Coordinate Forensic HARPS referrals diverting clients from the court system using housing first and harm reduction models. This position is community based with the expectation of being out of the office a minimum of 50% of the time. The Forensic Referral Coordinator plays a crucial role on the front line of the FHARPS team collaborating with inpatient facilities, hospitals, jails etc. FHARPS Forensic Referral coordinator gathers collateral information for new referrals and sets up and conducts interviews with referred clients and partners. This position requires driving and transporting clients and providing bridge clinical services as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to and work in locations inside and outside Pierce County, including but not limited to, Pierce County Probation office, Western State Hospital, Nisqually, Pierce County Jail, SCORE (Des Moines), and Puyallup Jail.
- Collect patient records and gain collateral information from referents, reviewing data from multiple systems.
- Summarize clinical history for FHARPs team members to aid with placement and service recommendations.
- Outreach to clients who are eligible for FHARPs and carry a case load of clients that are eligible but have not yet enrolled due to incarceration and/or other release/discharge issues
- Answer client calls and using trauma-informed language when troubleshooting and triaging appropriate staff.
- The Forensic Referral Coordinator is frequently a client's first line of regular phone contact. Having a basic understanding of psychotic disorders and using trauma-informed language is essential in this position (ongoing training will be provided).
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and partners of FHARPS and CLR.
- Attend Trueblood and other contract meetings, consults and community partner meetings to collaborate and educate on FHARPS program.
- Aid in discharge planning, which may include working with the MCOs and providing solid outcome data to funders.
- Perform as a supportive member of committees and project meetings, in coordination with agency departments to ensure agency and program compliance with applicable reporting requirements and regulatory mandates to ensure that administrative operations follow these requirements.
- Provide support to clinical programs, human resources, information services, and other operational areas to coordinate the implementation and sustenance of the agency quality improvement and key performance indicators that monitor progress in reaching annual outcome measurement goals.
- Ensure the company vehicles are regularly maintained for use by the next person.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- WA State DOH credential/licensure.
- Bachelor’s degree in human services required.
- Ability to qualify as a certified agency affiliated counselor a plus.
- This position must be able to obtain jail clearance from multiple jails as needed to meet the program needs
- Minimum one year’s experience working in the mental health field with vulnerable populations.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
- Strong computer skills. An ability to navigate the agency’s electronic health system and to manage staff schedules.
- Valid Washington State driver’s license, proof of insurance and working vehicle.
