Mullen & Filippi provides comprehensive legal services to California employers on issues arising from workplace injuries and other employment related concerns. Our Administrative office has a unique opportunity for a Document Specialist to work in our Office Services department. We are an established and reputable law firm with fifteen offices throughout the state. Our employees are offered an excellent benefit package, including a 401(k) retirement plan.
The Document Specialist uses software to review and categorize documents into the case management software. This position requires excellent attention to detail. The specialist needs to effectively communicate with other team members and office management in order to provide digital administrative support to attorneys and staff.
Requirements
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with other team members and office management with any questions as to document placement.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Efficient coding and processing of digital files.
- Look up, input or maintain information in a case management software program
- Provide digital administrative support to attorneys and staff, by researching scanned document issues within the software.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Recognize difference between urgent and non-urgent documents and categorize accordingly.
- Ability to identify California Workers’ Compensation forms and general documents relating to cases
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Tech savvy, with ability to quickly learn software applications.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate with attorneys and staff.
- Strong organizational skills.
- This is not a remote position.
