About the Role

We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Weighbridge & Yard Operator to join our team at our Selby site. This is a part-time evening position where you will be responsible for managing weighbridge operations and ensuring the safe movement of vehicles within the yard.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately book drivers in and out using the weighbridge system (Sap)
• Shunt and manoeuvre vehicles safely around the yard in line with site requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all company health and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle movements.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and colleagues to maintain smooth site operations.
• Conduct basic checks on vehicles and report any issues promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in weighbridge or yard operations is advantageous but not essential (full training provided).
• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence desirable for shunting duties.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation.
• Ability to work independently and make safe, effective decisions.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.
