Weighbridge & Yard Operator
📍 Selby | ⏰ 25 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 17:00–22:00)
9 month contract with the possibility of extension.

About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Weighbridge & Yard Operator to join our team at our Selby site. This is a part-time evening position where you will be responsible for managing weighbridge operations and ensuring the safe movement of vehicles within the yard.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately book drivers in and out using the weighbridge system (Sap)
- Shunt and manoeuvre vehicles safely around the yard in line with site requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all company health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle movements.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and colleagues to maintain smooth site operations.
- Conduct basic checks on vehicles and report any issues promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in weighbridge or yard operations is advantageous but not essential (full training provided).
- HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence desirable for shunting duties.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation.
- Ability to work independently and make safe, effective decisions.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.
