SUMMARY
The Dock Auditor is responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of freight from multiple truck lines. This role involves ensuring that paperwork is accurately handled, drivers are provided with proper documentation, and incoming dunnage is organized. The Dock Auditor also ensures that all outgoing shipments are properly wrapped, audited, and documented. This position requires previous forklift experience and the ability to operate in confined spaces. The Dock Auditor will maintain a clean and organized dock environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Audit all shipments created by the Shipping Clerk to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Use an auto wrapper to securely wrap skids for all outgoing shipments.
- Organize all incoming empty dunnage in a systematic manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized dock area at all times.
- Provide Bills of Lading (BOL) and all relevant shipping documents to outbound drivers, ensuring a signed copy is returned to the Shipping Clerk.
- Ensure that Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs) are sent by either the Dock Auditor or a Shipping Clerk.
- Assist with moving material and supports the needs of the Shipping department as well as manufacturing
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Shipping Supervisor.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Forklift certification and experience required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Proficient in computer use for shipping and documentation purposes.
- Understanding and application of common lean methodologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with truck drivers and team members.
- Regular and consistent attendance is essential.

- Ability to write correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one or small group settings.
