What will you be doing in your role?

  • Lead and deliver high-impact informational tours that inspire and educate, consistently receiving positive feedback and driving increased community engagement.
  • Track attendance, engagement levels, and post-event feedback to assess effectiveness and inform future improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective donors, volunteers, and partners through strategic follow-up with KNOW Poverty Hour attendees.
  • Personally invite and secure attendance of key individuals to strategic events and learning opportunities, contributing to increased donor and volunteer participation.
  • Continuously refine cultivation and engagement strategies in alignment with the Benevon® model, resulting in measurable improvements in donor conversion and retention.
  • Represent CCFW at key community events, cultivation opportunities, and networking functions to increase visibility and strengthen relationships.
  • Match community members with meaningful opportunities within the agency, aligning their interests and passions with our programs to foster long-term involvement.
  • Actively participate in fundraising events and donor engagement activities, including travel, contributing to revenue growth and expanded donor networks.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet and exceed individual and collective goals, driving growth in donor and volunteer bases through strategic outreach.
  • Approach all community engagement efforts with professionalism and passion, recognizing that successful cultivation is a team-driven effort.
  • Build strong internal relationships across departments, deepening understanding of agency programs and fostering collaboration to enhance donor engagement outcomes.
  • Provide timely and comprehensive reports that support team goals, inform strategy, and demonstrate progress toward engagement and fundraising objectives.

 

Are you the next Community Engagement Specialist?

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years’ experience in donor or community engagement OR a combination of relevant education and experience preferred
  • Public presentation experience strongly preferred
  • Willingness and desire to engage with churches of various faiths
  • Willingness to learn and follow proven Benevon® model
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and English communication skills.
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and liability required at all times; willing to transport others in personal car.

  • Full-time position with a starting hourly rate of $20, based on minimum job requirements. Pay is determined by relevant experience, work history, education and internal equities.
