Systematic problem solving and optimization of all injection molding tasks (man, machine, method, environment, material) including the sustainable implementation of corrective measures in the event of repeated errors to ensure trouble-free production operations.
- Setting up and operating injection molding machines to produce plastic parts.
- Following all aspects of processing safety protocol.
- Changing out molds, completing setups, and repairing molds.
- Monitoring and preparing support equipment, such as dryers, color feeders, etc.
- Responsible for cleanliness of department and all processing equipment.
- Perform Mold cleaning and process documentation.
- Contribute to highly productive, efficient, and team-oriented work environment.
- Work with Team Leader on line clearance and 5S.
- Communicate effectively with production personnel, supervisors, and engineers to ensure quality.
- Maintain good documentation practices.
- Cooperation with internal production areas and other interfaces (e.g. injection molding, quality, TCC/SEC, PCU, etc.)
- Participation in FMEAs according to specifications
- Participation in machine and peripheral specifications
- Support of transfer projects according to specifications
- Internal contact person (e.g. for managers, customer service...)
- Depending on the project focus: Assumption of the PLP role in projects with TCC/SEC
- Knowledge as it was imparted within the framework of a 3-year technical training, e.g. as a process mechanic for KKT, expanded by a relevant further training as a technician or master craftsman and deepened by targeted specialist training.
- In-depth expertise in plastics process mechanics, with at least 2 years of professional experience in a comparable role.
- Experience in injection molding production, including proven success in applying process analysis expertise.
- Advanced knowledge of process engineering principles and their practical application.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including MES, SAP, and MS Office.
- Strong technical aptitude with a deep understanding of production processes.
- Solid knowledge of quality methods and their integration into manufacturing workflows.
- Exceptional analytical thinking and the ability to evaluate complex scenarios effectively.
- Proficient in applying problem-solving techniques, even in dynamic and challenging environments.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in injection molding.
- A working knowledge and experience with injection molding and ancillary equipment
- A working knowledge of a wide range of thermoplastic materials and their properties
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with injection molding machines and robots
- clean room working environment
- 12 hour shift work is required on a 2:2:3 basis
