Job Description:Join one of Australia’s largest, most engaged nursing schools and help shape the next generation of nurses. The School is seeking to appoint a Level B Lecturer (Nursing) in a teaching focused role, where you will undertake teaching, course coordination and curriculum development.
Within this role you will:
- Deliver engaging, student-centred teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate nursing courses, fostering active participation and outstanding learning experiences.
- Innovate in curriculum and assessment, leveraging problem-based, authentic and technology-enhanced approaches to improve retention, success and graduate outcomes.
- Contribute to scholarly activities that inform the currency, quality and evidence-base of learning and teaching.
- Undertake some learning and teaching research or scholarship including the supervision of Honours and research higher degree students (if eligible).
- Build positive, respectful relationships with students and colleagues, and strengthen external partnerships to enhance WIL and employability.
This is a continuing, full time position primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $113,226 - $134,460 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $132,474 - $157,318 per annum.

You will also have:
- Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (Ahpra) as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Possess a Masters qualification in Nursing (or equivalent) and/or hold or be nearing completion in a PhD in Nursing or related area.
- Previous Nursing teaching experience in the tertiary sector.
- Evidence of innovation in teaching practice (such as simulation, digital/technology-enhanced learning, authentic assessment) and a commitment to continuous teaching improvements.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build positive student relationships and productive external partnerships.
- Experience in Mental Health, Aged Care or Infection Prevention Control Nursing (highly regarded).
