The Rental Cashier position helps create a welcoming, informative, and efficient environment in the rental shop and provides excellent customer service to all guests.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Rental Cashier, you will ensure guests have a positive, efficient experience in the rental shop by providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a professional environment.

A Day in the Life

Start your day by preparing the rental shop, organizing paperwork, and reviewing mountain conditions. Throughout the day, you’ll assist guests with questions, sell or rent proper equipment, handle payments, and maintain a safe and organized environment. By day’s end, you’ll leave knowing you contributed to a smooth, welcoming experience for all visitors.

Essential Functions of the Job

• Ensure guests are sold the proper product.
• Assist guests with questions and/or issues.
• Handle cash and process other types of payment.
• Stay informed of mountain conditions and Bogus Basin events.
• Organize and process paperwork for group visits.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude toward guests and staff.
• Promotes safety by following safe practices and reporting any unsafe situations.

Non-Essential Functions of the Job

• Clean and organize in and around the workspace.
• Assist with crowd control in the rental shop.
• Performs other related tasks as necessary.

Requirements

What You Bring to Bogus Basin

• Passionate about Bogus Basin’s Mission.
• Ability to work with people of all ages.
• Basic knowledge of skiing/snowboarding.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Employee is frequently required to stand, balance, walk and reach with hands and arms.
• Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch.
• Ability to perform heavy work (defined as exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects).
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Be at least 18 years of age or older

Working Conditions

• Mostly indoor, although occasionally outdoors.
• Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
