Compensation:

  • Non-exempt/Hourly
  • The standard wage range for this role is $26.47 to $31.11 per hour
  • It may be possible to earn more over time up to $35.75 per hour
  • This role may be eligible for a Saturday shift differential of 10%

Work Schedule: 40 hours, Mon-Sat

Job Summary
 

As a Pharmacy Technician at UCNW, you will be under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and will assist in performing technical and administrative functions that support the pharmacy dispensing operations and health center prescription refill and prior authorization requests.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and two years of higher education or equivalent work experience. 
  • Current Washington State Pharmacy Technician certification license required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. 
  • Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills and mathematical knowledge at a level typically acquired through completion of a general studies high school program.
  • Possesses specific knowledge of Pharmacy processes and practices, typically learned on the job, or which may include a series of training sessions that would comprise a few weeks if done consecutively.
  • Prepares basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word. 
  • Keyboarding speed of 30 wpm and data entry skills; accuracy is essential. 
  • Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Pass a background check, drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Record review prior to beginning employment.
  •  Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift 30 lbs., use hands, fingers, and talk frequently.
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work in a standard climate-controlled office environment with artificial lighting, using computer, printer, scanner, fax machine, copier, and multi-line telephone. 
  • Must be able to understand and respond effectively and with sensitivity to special population groups, including those defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, gender, sexual orientation, economic standing, & others.

Preferred Qualifications (not required): 

  • Previous customer service or delivery experience preferred. 
  • Pharmacy Technician Certified Board (PTCB) certification preferred.
  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish)
