The Role

We’re seeking an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across HVAC and refrigeration systems — including chillers, package units, split systems, ventilation and filtration. In this mobile role, you’ll support a wide range of client facilities, ensuring systems run efficiently, safely, and reliably, while partnering with the BGIS team to deliver industry-leading service.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Install, test, maintain and repair heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical defects in HVAC systems
• Inspect, maintain and service chillers, refrigeration, ventilation, and BMS systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns across client sites
• Foster strong client relationships and ensure service delivery meets KPIs
• Provide technical support and mentor apprentices where required
• Participate in on-call roster for after-hours support
• Ensure compliance with WHSE processes, industry standards, and BGIS systems

Your Education, Experience & Skills

• Trade qualification and licence in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (mandatory)
• Refrigerant Handling Licence (Arctick)
• Restricted Electrical Licence
• White Card (General Construction Induction)
• Current manual driver’s licence (essential)
• 1–5 years’ experience in a similar HVAC/refrigeration role
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic environments
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full working rights in Australia (essential)
