The Poway Unified School District is hiring a Resource Nurse for the current 2025-2026 school year. Under the supervision of a Director of Special Education, the School Resource Nurse performs multiple tasks that support school health services.

2. Current Copy of Transcripts (Official transcripts will be needed at hiring for salary placement). Note that a maximum of 10 years of verified school nurse experience and/or medical/clinical experience will be granted resulting in placement up to Step 11.
3. Three (3) Letters of Recommendation signed within the last 12 months. It is recommended that at least one (1) come from a supervising administrator.
4. Letter of Intent addressed to Dr. Kelly Burke, Director of Human Resources.
5. For phone references, be sure to include the reference's most current cell phone number and email address.
6. All applications must be submitted through EDJOIN; no hard copy documents will be accepted.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS REQUIRED:
BS, RN and Clear School Nurse Services Credential or Preliminary School Nurse Services Credential with an agreement to complete further classes necessary leading to a clear credential within five (5) years.
*Note that a California Audiometric Certification needs to be completely shortly after hire.
**Note that applicants should have current professional level CPR.
***Note that applicants must have a current and valid CA driver's license.
Salary Info
Up to 10 years of verified full-time clinical/medical nursing experience is accepted resulting in placement up to Step 11
