Position Purpose: Fidelis Care is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Communications team. This role is critical in leading the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact communications initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will manage content platforms, align priorities, and ensure timely delivery while connecting the dots between projects and broader business goals. This individual will also oversee the development and coordination of materials across multiple departments, ensuring consistency, quality, and strategic alignment.

*Qualified candidates residing in the Tri-State area are highly preferred for this role. *The role is mostly remote, but will be expected to come into the Long Island City office periodically (approximately 1-2 times a month).

  • Cross-Departmental Leadership: Lead the overall management and coordination of communications materials across key departments including Sales, Marketing, Retention, Provider Relations, Quality, Health Equity, Pharmacy, and others.

  • Project Management: Drive end-to-end project execution for communications initiatives, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and strategic objectives.

  • Content Platform Oversight: Manage and optimize content management systems (CMS) and digital platforms to support internal and external communications.

  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure all projects are aligned with Fidelis Care’s business goals and contribute to measurable outcomes; help teams understand the strategic impact of their work.

  • Prioritization & Planning: Collaborate with department leads to assess project scope, set priorities, and allocate resources effectively.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between communications, creative, digital, and business teams to ensure alignment and transparency.

  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and roadblocks early, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor project performance and deliver regular updates to leadership, including post-project evaluations and insights for continuous improvement.

Additionally:

  • Provide functional and technical knowledge across multiple business and technical areas.

  • Manage the creation of all project deliverables to ensure adherence to quality standards including design documents, test plans, training materials, and operations documentation.

  • Communicate project status to all stakeholders and external agencies.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. 8+ years of project management experience with departmental specific projects. Project Management experience within communications or marketing environment preferred. Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff. Proficient with MS-Office applications. Healthcare and managed care experience preferred. Understanding of Agile methodology is preferred.

  • PMP or similar certification is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of content management systems and digital communication tools highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to connect project execution with strategic business outcomes. 

  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Pay Range: $105,600.00 - $195,400.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
