Production Training and Volunteer Lead en Athey Creek Church

Position Summary: The Production Training and Volunteer Lead will oversee, develop and maintain excellent and continual training for Athey Production volunteers. This person will be the main point of contact for Athey Production volunteers and manage hands-on training for new and experienced operator volunteers. They will develop/oversee a team of trainers unified in training expectations, and create high-quality video to provide training for all positions. The Production Training and Volunteer Lead’s primary focus will be to train, upskill and ensure a healthy and fun volunteer team in line with Athey culture, while maintaining the highest quality production.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Agree to Athey’s doctrinal distinctive and vision as found in What We Believe/Vision statement
• Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in the Scriptures
  • Possess qualities of a reliable leader who can shepherd and disciple, communicate clearly with others, effectively lead teams, and has strong organizational skills
• Highly motivated, self starter, able to work independently, energetic, strong work ethic
• Physical strength to carry heavy equipment as well as stamina
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment
• Proven experience as a production operator and video editor
• Experience with or desire to thoroughly learn & understand all of Athey’s professional production equipment
• Good understanding and ability to exhibit Athey culture

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with Production Director & Production Manager to approve scripting and training videos
• Identify objective standards for volunteer training benchmarks
• Train volunteers according to the set standard and celebrate achievements including live certification
• Build a team of trainers to provide excellence and consistency in training objectives
• Implement processes that monitor training and can track an individual’s progress
• Strive to always reinforce Athey culture within the volunteer team
• Review volunteer performance during live events and provide constructive feedback
• Production Team representative to respond on Rock for all new connections
• Work with Volunteer Lead to onboard new volunteers, schedule volunteer coverage and promote team health
• Coordinate weekend Production team Pre-Service Syncs
• Assemble and publish quarterly Production Team Newsletter
• Help ensure Production team details are up-to-date in Planning Center Online
• Assist with service operations at least once per month
• Engage as part of a team with Athey staff, always being edifying to one another
• All other duties as assigned

Hours: Salary Exempt 40+, Tuesday through Sunday including weekends and some evenings.
