 An ISR/Inside Sales Rep for Wheeler Machinery actively engages our customers to provide them world class customer service in conjunction with the highest quality products in the industry. S/he is responsible for establishing, growing, and maintaining customer relationships within an assigned account list and territory to achieve necessary sales volume, market share, and profitability.  


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers over the phone and in person to encourage      loyalty and value as partners in their business
  • Conduct high level consultative meetings to demonstrate and justify the value behind Caterpillar equipment and Wheeler Machinery versus the competition
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that exceed company values
  • Learn and implement a complete understanding of the products and services we provide to be a consultative partner in our customers’ business 
  • Lead and execute all aspects of the sales process while utilizing company resources and other departments to assist when needed
  • Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems effectively, and demonstrate high integrity
  • Document and track sales calls and data entry through CRM tools
  • Perform all other duties assigned

Require Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in sales or  business-related fields) or minimum 4 years of industry related experience      
  • Knowledge of and willingness to learn Caterpillar product line, construction industry practices and other competencies      necessary for consulting with customers on their needs
  • Strong presentation, organizational and time management skills
  • Initiative-taker, motivated and results driven
  • Dedication to providing the highest level of customer service
  • Ability to manage and resolve objections and  problems amicably 
  • General computing skills including Word, Excel, Outlook as well as the ability to utilize a CRM for managing customer visits, generating quotes and processing data  
  • Experience in successfully mentoring and leading others toward accomplishing a common goal
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
