TEMPORARY High School Health Teacher-OCHS en Oregon City School District 62

Oregon City High School is a comprehensive high school with approximately 2,000 students, located in the suburban Portland/Metro area. We are looking for high-energy and creative educators that will continue our collective focus on engaging all learners at high levels while building students' foundations for the 21st century. We are an AVID Certified school and are also working with the Center for High School Success with a focus on ninth-grade success. Candidate Skills and Qualifications:

Valid Oregon teaching license with an endorsement in Health.

Enthusiasm for learning and implementing new strategies, including AVID, WICOR, group work, culturally responsive teaching Knowledge of high leverage instructional strategies

Ability to create a student-centered classroom

Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each student and implement a variety of assessment strategies

Ability to provide a safe, culturally responsive learning environment

Knowledge of social and emotional needs of high school students

Interest in becoming involved in the whole OCHS community

This TEMPORARY position is 1.0 FTE.

TENTATIVE DATES: 10/13/2025 - 4/20/2025

Salary to be adjusted based on number of contract days.
