About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Shipping Specialist to coordinate and oversee outgoing shipments. In this role, you’ll manage logistics documentation, ensure accurate order processing, track inventory, and maintain open communication with both internal teams and external carriers. Key Responsibilities:

·        Shipment Coordination: Plan, schedule, and organize outgoing shipments, including selecting carriers, managing shipping documents, and communicating with logistics partners.

·        Documentation & Compliance: Prepare bills of lading, packing lists, customs forms, and other necessary paperwork; keep accurate shipping records for compliance.

·        Inventory & Tracking: Monitor stock levels to ensure availability for upcoming orders; maintain up-to-date records to prevent shortages and delays.

·        Collaboration: Work closely with production, sales, and customer service teams to fulfill orders on time; provide shipping status updates to both customers and internal stakeholders.

·        Continuous Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements to optimize shipping operations, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards.

Requirements

Required Skills & Competencies

·        Organization & Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.

·        Work Hours: This position may occasionally require overtime, including evenings or weekends, based on business needs.

·        Attention to Detail: Accuracy in data entry, documentation, and order processing.

·        Problem-Solving: Skilled at troubleshooting logistical challenges and finding effective solutions.

·        Communication: Clear, concise, and proactive communication with all levels of the organization and external partners.

Qualifications

·        Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field—preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

·        Solid knowledge of standard shipping procedures, freight terminology, and relevant regulations.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with shipping software or ERP systems is a plus.

·        Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple shipments simultaneously.

·        Effective communication skills and a proactive attitude toward problem resolution.

 

Physical and Environmental Requirements

·        Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

·        Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.

·        Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.

·        PPE: Wear the required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.

·        Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).

·        Stamina: Stand for long shifts.

·        Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.

·        Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
