How Will You Make a Difference?

  • Timely response and follow-up to conflict inquiries sent via e-mail, regular mail, or telephone.
  • Follow procedures and methods for tracking, maintaining, and resolving conflict memorandums.
  • Review new business submissions for content and accuracy, and work with submitters to obtain complete and correct information.
  • Follow up on identified potential conflict issues to ensure resolution.
  • Review and initiate resolution of pending business and ethical conflict issues.
  • Coordinate conflict resolution with involved attorneys for both ethical conflicts and business conflict issues.
  • Prepare and produce accurate conflict reports on new clients and matters, and portable work for potential lateral hires.
  • Conduct research on new clients and adverse parties including gathering and filtering corporate family tree information.
  • Review and advise on the creation of ethical walls for new matters with existing client-level ethical walls and/or new matters with specific conflict issues that would benefit from an ethical wall.

What Will You Bring to the Table?

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • 3+ years of related ethics and conflicts experience and strong knowledge of law firm administrative processes.
  • Ability to identify issues and problems and to recommend and implement solutions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to change and adapt to current and future responsibilities and circumstances and adhere to the firm’s policies and procedures.
  • Experience with and ability to effectively use software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database tools. Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain effective relationships and communicate with a diverse group of principals, attorneys, managers and staff whether in person, via telephone, or via e-mail.
  • Ability to communicate by telephone and e-mail to provide information with courtesy and tact while safeguarding confidentiality.
  • Ability to successfully develop quality team relationships, work well within a team-oriented environment, and contribute to and participate in effective team relationships.
  • This is a hybrid role requiring the ability to commute to the office on occasion for meetings and collaboration.

  • The pay range for this position varies by geographic market. In Minneapolis, MN, the estimated starting pay is $32.57 - $40.60 per hour (based on a 37.5-hour workweek), which is equivalent to $63,517 - $79,167 annually. Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, professional background, overall qualifications, and location.  

  • The pay range for this position varies by geographic market. In Silicon Valley, CA, the estimated starting pay is $34.31 - $45.48 per hour (based on a 35-hour workweek), which is equivalent to $62,436 - $82,774 annually. Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, professional background, overall qualifications, and location.
