Concrete Field Technician (ACI) en NOVA Engineering & Environmental

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a qualified ACI Concrete Field Technician to join our team in Atlanta, GA (Kennesaw office). This field-based role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality assurance in construction materials testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform field testing of freshly mixed concrete in accordance with ASTM standards and project specifications.
• Conduct tests such as slump, temperature, air content (pressure and volumetric methods), unit weight, and sample preparation for lab analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and contract documents through on-site inspections.
• Prepare detailed and accurate field reports documenting test results and observations.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and project managers regarding testing outcomes and site conditions.
• Assist with other construction materials testing (CMT) tasks as needed, including soils, masonry, and asphalt.

Required Qualifications:

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I certification (must be current).
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Ability to lift 30–70 lbs regularly and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ICC certifications in Reinforced Concrete, Structural Masonry, and Structural Steel & Bolting.
• State DOT certifications and Nuclear Density Gauge certification.
• Experience with QA/QC testing on transportation and commercial building projects.
