Position Summary

EVAPCO is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator – Windows, Storage, Backup & Virtualization to join our global IT team. This role is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the performance, security, and resilience of our enterprise infrastructure. You will work hands-on with Windows Server environments, enterprise storage systems, backup technologies, and virtualization platforms to support business operations across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support Microsoft Windows Server environments globally.
• Manage enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS), ensuring high availability and data integrity.
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies using solutions such as Cohesity or Veeam.
• Support and maintain virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Apply system patches, updates, and configuration changes in accordance with IT security and compliance standards.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Maintain system documentation, diagrams, and procedures following ITIL best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Level 3 infrastructure issues and support incident response efforts.
• Participate in infrastructure projects including server migrations, storage upgrades, and virtualization enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams including cybersecurity, networking, application support, and desktop support.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Windows Server administration in a multi-site enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade storage technologies (SAN, NAS, RAID).
• Proficiency with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Solid understanding of backup and disaster recovery tools and practices (e.g., Cohesity, Veeam, Commvault).
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred:

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator, VMware Certified Professional (VCP)).
• Experience supporting IT systems in a manufacturing or global enterprise environment.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments (Azure or AWS) is a plus.
